I’m a taxonomist and knowledge manager focused on information discovery.
Today, I work as a content strategy and taxonomy analyst at Forrester. Previously, I’ve worked in taxonomy and knowledge management roles at Getty Images, Electronic Arts (EA), and YMCA of the USA, where I focused on the findability of data and internal resources. I hold a master’s degree in library and information science from Simmons University in Boston with a concentration in information science and technology.

This SQL database connects local hikers with their next great outdoor adventure. Users can discover new trails, rate completed hikes, and share trail info with fellow hikers in the greater St. Louis area.

A quick Google search for “knowledge management” yields a range of definitions that vary widely depending on the source (academics, librarians and information professionals, consulting firms, and technology companies, to name a few). Here, I offer a simple description pulling from my MLIS and work experience.
I recently co-authored a paper on why, where, and how people search for images online. The article was published in the February 2022 issue of the Journal of Documentation.
